M. Kevin Turner, Ph.D.
Dr. Turner has been in private practice since 2002 with his wife, Andrea. He offers psychotherapy and psychological testing for a variety of ages including children, adolescents, and adults. He completes a multitude of evaluations that include those used for diagnosis of mental and behavioral issues, pain management, bariatric preoperative, learning deficits, worker’s compensation, disability, as well as evaluations used to assist physicians with medication management. Prior to entering private practice in 2002, he worked at the Medical College of Georgia for 15 years where he ran the outpatient psychological testing clinic. While at the Medical College of Georgia, he taught psychotherapy and psychological testing to psychology and psychiatry residents for 14 years. Prior to MCG, he worked in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, prisons, and adolescent correctional facilities. Dr. Turner served in the United States Army Reserve for 12 years. He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He has been married to Andrea for over 30 years and they have two children. He completed his undergraduate degree at The Citadel. He received his master’s degree from Western Kentucky and doctorate from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists. He is a fellow in the Georgia Psychological Association.

Mrs. Turner has a bachelor’s degree in social work from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. She has counseled individuals and families for over 20 years. She offers psychotherapy for adults and adolescents using evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness training. Mrs. Turner can help you reduce your feelings of depression and anxiety as well as develop more effective strategies to deal with your emotions resulting in a healthier, more joyful life.
